Ubuntu Keyboard Bug

Okay... I've put up with this for long enough.

Does anybody have a fix for the keyboard bug in Cycas 3.9 on Ubuntu? I didn't have this problem back when I was running Fedora, but it's been in every Ubuntu distro I've used, and I've seen no answers, patches etc. The <enter> key on the key pad doesn't work for one thing, and after opening Cycas an focusing on its window, the ALT key gets a carriage return inserted in front of the ALT function. The only way to get rid of it is to reset the keyboard, which resets the keyboard mapping, obviously.

I know 3.9 is headed out (soon, I hope; can't wait for a stable snapshot release of 4.0), but it gets annoying when trying to work in different programs at the same time side by side with Cycas.

=heh= Thanks Steve. But that doesn't raise my confidence that there's a solution short of Anja and Wolfgang bug stomping one bit.

Re: Ubuntu Keyboard Bug

BlackHawke, please try to take a look at another thread that I have created... maybe it might solve your problem

The opening script for cycas tries to run a command to change the value of a key, it was causing my keyboard to be funny. Maybe because of that your keyboard might be weird.
