I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IS POSSIBLE TO USE Cycas HOW 2D CAD LIKE AUTOCAD LT . IN A SPECIAL REQUEST LUCA If you can USE A LEVEL TRAINING IN ITALY , THEN IF  HE CAN´ Post EXAMPLES OF PROJECTS IN PDF. The USE I intend to do IS rolle :)TYPE OF EXECUTIVE LEVEL two-dimensional, THEN TO DEVELOP THE 3D WITH OTHER PROGRAMS.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW EVEN IF THERE ARE OTHER USERS ITALIAN. THANKS

VORREI SAPERE SE E´ POSSIBILE USARE CYCAS A LIVELLO DI CAD 2D ALLA PARI DI UN SOFTWARE COME AUTOCAD LT , IN PARTICOLARE CHIEDO A LUCA SE RIESCE A USARLO A LIVELLO PROFESSIONALE IN ITALIA E SE PUO´ POSTARE ESEMPI IN PDF DI PROGETTI. L´USO CHE INTENDO FARE E´ DI TIPO ESECUTIVO A LIVELLO BIDIMENSIONALE, PER POI SVILUPPARE IL 3D CON ALTRI PROGRAMMI.
VORREI ANCHE SAPERE SE CI SONO ALTRI UTILIZZATORI ITALIANI. GRAZIE

You can draw anything you like in Cycas 2D   And it is possible to export the 2d drawings to many other programs

another question:
how can i print in the same design 2 or 3 detail at different scale? like another programs (i think to autocad for example)...

and is possible for anyone to post example of architectural design 2d in addition to screenshoot present in the home page?

Hi geometrico,
my answer is YES, cycas can be used at production grade like other cad product we curently see in architects studios in Italy, and I´m doing so.
You are aware that each software has pros and contro and cycas too have some, depends what you need, no one is the best out of the box.
Said that my experience is tailored on architecture, new buildings designs, restorations, executive drawings, sometimes 3d prototypes of designs, and other things like that, and I say cycas is a good all round app for my needs, with some, already discussed, enehancements I won´t never give up.
You know most of the output for local autorities are 2d drawings, plans, sections ... something similar to your needs I think, and everything simply works, no trubles or exitating.  
I will put some examples, not tonight but I promise soon, in the meanwhile I´ve seen steve boosting up with screenshots, great!

Ciao geometrico, ti facciola sintesi in italiano, la risposta è si, lo uso quotidianamente in studio per la progettazione di nuovi interventi edilizi e recuperi, esecutivi e qualche volta prototipazione 3d dei progetti, le tavole che vanno agli enti locali sono quasi esclusivamente 2d quindi credo che si avvicinino a quello che ti serve, per quello faccio io tutto funziona liscio e mi ci trovo a mio agio. Ci sono come in tutti i software pro e contro però dipende molto da cosa fai...
Mettero su qualche esempio, non stasera che è tardi...

I am architetto junior but working with my father as a construction company and sometimes use disegn to submit projects (at home single-family) and even more often to take preventive drawings and construction details to explain something at customer ...

luca grazie per le risposte , aspetto avidamente le tavole che presenti in comune... io sono architetto iunior ma lavoro con mio padre come impresa edile e uso disegnare  qualche volta per presentare progetti (a livello abitazione unifamiliare) ma più spesso disegno per richiedere preventivi o presentare particolari costruttivi per spiegarmi con clienti o fornitori.

cycas mi incuriosisce e mi frena allo stesso tempo.sto provando a capirci qualcosa per decidere se comprarlo o meno. per questo sto facendo tante domande , forse banali per chi come te o steve o chicchessia qui dentro usa in maniera spinta il programma.

grazie ancora a "risentirci a presto".

I think cycas should be ok for you as it is for me. worth pain to keep trying, as steve stated in another tread, no problem with the questions, I´ve done the same some times ago with wolfgang and anja, there wasn´t the forum at that time so you have more friends here now...
for the last question I live in Carrara...

Penso che cycas possa andarti bene se funziona per me, vale la pena provare ad usarlo come diceva steve nell´altro tread partendo dai tutorial, per le domande non ti preoccupare ho fatto lo stesso con wolfgang e anja quando non c´era il forum per capire, ora da una bella mano...
per l´ultima domanda sto a Carrara.

Hi all,

I use Cycas 2D in my professional job (architecural drawings) with satisfaction; obviously the professional level is a personal opinion;

per geometrico: uso cycas da qualche  tempo e non ho alcuna nostalgia di autocad; non sono uguali, devo riconoscere che autocad ha molte piu´ funzioni pero´ quelle presenti in cycas sono sufficienti ai miei scopi e ne sono (molto) soddisfatto; se poi i i miei disegni soddisfano il tuo criterio di professionalita´ ovviamente e´ un altro discorso :-)))))

ovviamente sono anch´io un utente italiano di cycas:-)))
