(quasi) solar energy evaluation

hi all,
You knows my bad english (e se qualche italiano, Luca?, volesse aiutarmi, gliene sarei grato :-)))
I have prepared 2 small procedures for calculating:
- 1: the annual walk of the sun (the diagrams given appears like the diagrams enclosed in the Codigo Tecnico de la Edificacion of the spanish gov) and the effects of obstacles;
- 2: the effective shadows produced by obstacles (buildings, trees, etc.) over the reference plane;
this is not my original work: I implemented some ideas publied on a book on solar energy by Ance (Ass. Naz. Costruttori Edili) and that one can find on any technical book;
I will try to connect that procedures to cycas by DXF channel;
if someone like to condivide or, better, improve the code, I agree;
best regards,
giuliano

hi Luca and all,
now, I have only a python procedure that compute the solar position as viewved by a location on our planet in dependence of the latitude (now only italian locations), the hour of the day and the day on the year;
with that black box I can make a radial diagram with the area walked by the sun during the year; on that diagram I can draw the shadows of some obstacles and finally evaluate the bad or good exposition of the point to the sun radiation; this is like the syntethic procedure of some code (the cited C.T.E. for example), altough there are some steps to do (radiation energy, angle from sun rays and the plane, etc.);
another job I can do is the axonometric transformation with the camera in the sun position and the target in the point reference: the resulting view is the shadow on the plane;
at this stage the procedures are feasibility sketchs, not finished procedures: for that I search for help;
ciao,
giuliano
PS. se mi vuoi dare il tuo indirizzo privato, e non ti scoccia, posso scriverti direttamente, senza l´impaccio per me dell´inglese :-)))

sorry,
for the translation from DXF I think to rediscover some perl scripts I written some time ago; when done I will do the notice to the list (non so se e´ giusto, ma spero si capisca :-)))
