It was close enough to All Hallows Eve for you to be forgiven.  Grin

It is true that we have a new forum is helpful, but what is needed is the software (cycas4).
Give us an idea at least:
- Release date of the alpha, beta ...
- what will be new to functions, import / export etc. ...

Been almost a month and we still haven't heard a peep! So I guess I'll have to say "Amen" to keep the thread alive in the hopes that we'll hear something.  Huh

Hello,

Everybody gives suggestions for Cycas 4. I look forward to seeing the result. Have you already planned an approximate date of release ?

I can hardly write in English (and German) but I can help you translate into French. I corrected my version of cycas with the right French specific words.

I talked about my expectations of an import raster images (jpg, bmp, png,...). I have another wish. It would be possible to have a space of printing. As on the other CAD softwares, we could draw in a space and print from the other one. This approach makes it easy to present the best designs. We should have sheets of presentation with the possibility to have multiple views on the drawing. On one sheet, you can submit a drawing and a detail of it. While not as complex and resulted Allplan and ArchiCAD, we can have something like AutoCAD.

If this can give you suggestions for improvement : for the same drawing, I like to use different pencils depending on the  situations (sketch, drawing of an existing building, construction drawing, drawing for the project owner). So I made profiles (preferences) that allow me to change my pencils (color and thickness). It's like pencil case with different pencils for the same lines (as on the ArchiCAD software). I would need a few more lines and pencils. Eight is not much. Maybe we could have as many as one wishes ... or, if necessarily limited, twenty.

For those who follow the progress of my library of 2D objects, there have been improvements. I must put on the internet for all. In the company where I work, we have many recent products of decoration ... but in 3D for ArchiCAD. With time, I'll give you all this.

I Thank the programmers of cycas very much... and feel free to ask me if I can help you promote cycas in France, or in any way.

Yours sincerely

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Bonjour, ça va?

I think you are making a very good contribution. I downloaded your library and found it very interesting and helpful, so I find very nice you maintain it.
I can help you if you need something in Spanish and Portuguese because my mother languages are Galician, the base of Portuguese, and Spanish.

Best regards,

xluis.

Bonjour,

Yeah, what you said! We've been awaiting the release of v.4.0 for about 9 months now. Sad Personally, I think if Cycas 4.0 is done right, has the moxie to beat BricsCad for Linux all to crap and gone. But we has to gets it, precious. Yes we does. Cheesy
