Hi there,

a new set of packages containing the new triangulation core used for 3DS, GTS (for boolean operations), and DXF exports.

GTS export still is known to have problems with certain openings in walls.

Any feedback is very welcome!

Best,
Wolfgang

hi Wolfgang

i have put 3.90.4 (both windows and deb version) through some tests and i have to say that i cannot see any difference with the problem of wall openings having stray faces across them. it seems that two doors in one wall will always produce this problem:

also, i cannot say that boolean ops are in general more robust. i could not find a series of ops that fail in 3.90.2 and are possible in 3.90.4

i am also not seeing a big improvement (if any), I can't reliably get the problem to happen most of the time, but it does happen frequently.

One place I can reliably replicate the problem is by putting an opening against the end of a wall.

I ran across this when doing pocket doors, one section of wall is 6.5" thick and then the door opening and pocket is two walls 2" thick (with a 2.5" space between them). If I show the thick wall going right up to the opening, there will always be a surface across the doorway, but if I extend the thin walls even a smidge past the opening, it usually doesn't have any problem.

it does look like when there is a problem with two doors in one way not appearing, splitting the wall so that there is only one door in the wall helps, but it doesn't take two doors in a wall to have a problem
