Hi,
I have just a few minutes ago installed CYCAS 3.9.04 public,.. and looking thru the tutorial, and trying to draw the first item, a triangle, I find I cannot get the functions to work ,.. i.e. the help bar shows the same words no matter- "select function:". I cannot get the "line" function or any others to work.

I am fairly computer capable, and many years ago used some early CAD programs,...autocad, etc,... so I do not think this is a case of "operator error". I have not modified any parameters, settings, or options within the program,... only opened it, and begun the tutorial. I have tried closing this software, and re-opening, also tried the "Project / New " with no change in result.

I then re-installed the software. Still no luck.

My PC- Dell D610 with 2 MB ram,...windows XP Pro SP2.

Anyone have a suggestion?

rolle :)time to eat some crow.
ok, so,,, I didn´t follow the tutorial directions EXACTLY.
To get the line function to work, or any other function, you click on 1 of the 12 possible "Main Menu Items" (see just below "Project Clip Help".)

This causes the Function Items box below it, to change showing "Line functions. Then, to get the basic line function to work, click the "Line" button inside this function item box. Voila. Eureka. Hot diggity. Duh.
